Love, love, love this book! I'm very passionate about reading self-help and spirituality books and this book fuses the best of two worlds. All the stories from the author's work and practise as a social worker and inspiring and help me understand his framework so much better.
The way he writes...it's, so, so soothing!
While I'm not totally new to the importance of facing our negative feelings and emotions (I am a big fan of EFT tapping as well as Faster EFT, where it's all about facing your "stuff"), this book provided me with so many valuable insights when it comes to my self-dialogue.
I also learned a new way to create affirmations...and once again...it's so...so...soothing for my mind and soul!
I totally agree with this author, that most self-help and law of attraction books intend to jump into the "positive thinking" too fast...without trying to embrace and release the negative first.
Once again, I'm not totally new to all these concepts. but this book served me as a catalyzer.
I just found myself changing my self-talk to a more soothing one while giving myself the space I need to understand where the negativity was coming from...
Great author with a big heart that does a great job for humanity...
The world needs more people like Gary!
This book is great not only for therapists and mental health professionals or social workers...
It's also great for anyone who is on a journey of self-growth.
